Poppers!

by Grace
(Montana)

Around our house, we love making Poppers from peppers. Jalapeno Poppers are the most common, but we have made them from other types as well. Another good one is the Anaheim. And the way we make them it is very quick and easy to make.

Wash and cut the peppers in half lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds (depending on how hot you want them) smear some cream cheese inside each of them, (we've used other cheeses too, but cream cheese is the best.) Place the peppers on a baking tray, and sprinkle the tops with some spices of your choice. We like to use Spike (a spice that is very salty) Paprika, Chili Powder, or whatever you want. Parmesan Cheese is very good on them too, as is a little piece of ham.

Bake them for about 10-15 minutes. (Longer if you want milder.) And serve beside your favorite Mexican dish. We like them with Enchilada or Taco's.

You can make them breaded too, (find a recipe online) but we find that the breading falls off and this way is easier.

Enjoy!
