I tried the vinegar mix, but it didn't do anything. I think I've heard this is more for bugs. Thanks for the offer. Karen

I have taken a photo to my local nursery, and they said it was horsetail rush, which could only be rid of with blackberry killer. Unfortunately, this also kills many other plants as well.

YOU MIGHT TRY spraying THE 20% VINEGAR (1GAL), 2-OZ ORANGE OIL, 1t of dishwashing soap, 1T of liquid garden molasses. Works best in sunny location. Might have to do several applications. This type of weed is difficult because you never know if you are getting it all.
