Fried Banana pepper pakoras

by Zehra
(Irvine, CA)

In Pakistan and India it is common to fill these peppers up with cheese by first making a narrow slit, scraping off the seeds then filling them. After that we did it in a batter and deep fry them, delicious!

You can make any kinds of batter. Traditionally we use a batter made from gram flour.

eyeball the following:
1 cup gram flour
1/2 tsp red chilli powder or paprika powder
1/2 tsp salt
and water until it is a manageable liquid, not too drippy, and not too thick.

Dip the cheese filled peppers in the batter and deep fry until golden or lightly browned. Take out and drain on paper towels.
