A Version of Lasagna
by: Patricia

Every cook has her own version of Lasagna. Same in the garden.
Many years ago I read what I think may have been the original version, One Straw Rebellion, I think that was the title. It was a precise formula for such a garden. I have gone to the other extreme. Each year I lay down a layer of grass cut from my neighbor's yard. She has NO weeds. After that I lay down a layer of compost.
At first I worried that the composting grass would burn the seeds or seedlings, but it never did. I never dig, just add to the top.
